The specific objective of the course is to train qualified masters in the technical aspects of the research that involves human beings, increasing Fiocruz capacity in this activity. From this perspective, the course prioritizes the development of projects that result in products that can be applied immediately and in a practical way, improving the quality of the sectors in which the student develops his / her professional activities, as evaluated by their immediate supervisors and the direction of the units.
Evolution and trends
The MPPC selected its first class of students in August 2011, so it does not exist long enough for an objective evaluation of trends and evolution. Considering that part of INI’s mission is to teach clinical research and that the Institute's future vision includes being a scientific excellence center and an international reference, the MPPC can strengthen its strategic role by expanding the reach of its target audience to include professionals from other Brazilian institutions that conduct clinical research.
In the first semester of 2015, a public call was launched targeting public officials who were part of teams working with clinical research in public institutions - whether municipal, state or federal.
